Coorparoo Markets 2019 In Review

What an incredible year we had at Coorparoo Square in 2019! Thank you to each and everyone of our creative vendors and fabulous shoppers, it has been a real pleasure meeting you all each month.

ACTIVATION

The Market Folk hosted 10 bustling markets in total activating a new asset to Coorparoo. The site of Coorparoo Square opened just 2 years ago to the local community to provide a diverse mix of dining, entertainment and convenience offers in a connected, vibrant atmosphere. Originally this was a historical major retail precinct for Brisbane (Myer)

Each month we hosted over 30 creative businesses bringing something completely new to the area and local community. We also provided a platform for people to recycle their pre-worn clothing, ensuring we keep as much unwanted clothing as possible out of landfill!

GIVING BACK

Thanks to Dendy Cinemas and many of our stall holders we were able to raise over $800 to support those affected by Bush Fire at our Christmas Markets. The Market Folk donated 100% of Rack Sale tickets in November. NSW Rural Fire Service, Salvation Army Disaster Appeal and Rural Fire Association Queensland all received equal donations in December 2019. Thank you to all who supported this initiative.

WORKSHOPS

Across the year we hosted many creative workshops such as Terrariums, Make and Weave Bags, Laser Earrings, Baby Teethers and more! We just loved seeing everyone's brilliant creations and watching our hosts teach what they love.

Thank you for having us @coorparoosquare.

Keep an eye out for updates on this location!
